Picture Update

Still loving Ten Sleep. We are both obsessed with the world class climbing and amazing dolomite limestone here in WY. The climbing in ten sleep canyon is at approx. 7000 feet so the temperatures are perfect for rock climbing and the sun shines all day everyday. Here are some miscellaneous pics of the canyon and surroundings. Thanks for following us!

Ten Sleep Wyoming

We have spent the last four days rock climbing on world class limestone in Ten Sleep Canyon Wyoming. Its the simple life here; wake up, make breakfast, do a thigh burning mile uphill approach, and climb till exhaustion. Ten Sleep Canyon is ten miles long and has a gorgeous (but freezing) creek running through the bottom of it. The climbing here is so unique as you have to hike up out of the canyon to reach the tops of the cliffs which means that before you even start climbing you are hundreds of feet up and have great exposure. We have both been pushing our climbing limits and having a blast, we hope to stay here for about another week! Here are some pictures ( unfortunately there are no climbing pictures as its hard to take pictures while belaying):

Devils Tower

On Thursday we got to see two national parks in one day, the Badlands in the morning and Devils Tower in the afternoon. Devils tower is an amazing mass of rock in the middle of nowhere, it was incredible to see. When we got to the park we were greeted by adorable prairie dogs and then we went for a 2 mile hike around the tower. This area was so beautiful we just wanted to climb it, unfortunately we didn't have enough gear with us to make that happen so we will just have to come back on another trip! Here are some pictures from devils tower:

We just got to Ten Sleep Wyoming and will be spending about two weeks here climbing. I will update the blog later this week with pictures from Ten Sleep!

The Badlands

We got to the Badlands in South Dakota late on Wednesday night, after a 15 hour drive we were ready to get some sleep and stretch our legs. In the morning we got up early and took a 12 mile hike called Castles Trail through the park (I was exhausted basically crawling by the end of this and Nick wasn't even fazed). The formations making up the Badlands are extremely unique and beautiful and I highly recommend stopping at this park if you are ever in the area! Here are some pictures from our hike:
