The Grand Canyon
On our way home we stopped at the Grand Canyon, it was spectacular. We decided to do a 2-day hike from the rim to the Colorado River using the South Kaibab trail which is 7.5 miles. Once we got down to the river we camped at Phantom Ranch for the night and then hiked back out of the Canyon the following morning. We hiked out on the Bright Angel trail, which is a 10 mile hike of endless switchbacks. Needless to say, the views were stunning, the weather was perfect, and the hike out will leave your calves crippled. Here are some pictures from our time there:

Yosemite Continued
Since we were in Yosemite which is the mecca of traditional climbing we figured we better do some trad climbing. Nick was the one to do the real trad climbing, placing protective gear, and sometimes I would top rope the climbs after him. Nick even did the first pitch of a climb on El Capitan! We also did some more beautiful hikes, hiking to Upper Yosemite Falls (which was unfortunately dry) and to North Dome. We had an incredible time in Yosemite and are glad the parks opened back up! We are now back in bishop and will head to the Grand Canyon next! Here are some more pictures from our time in Yosemite:
